On March 29, the Duluth Area Chamber of Commerce held Duluth & St. Louis County at the Capitol Days, their citizen lobbying event and the biggest advocacy opportunity of the year. NORTHFORCE and APEX joined representatives from the City of Duluth and St. Louis County in St. Paul to meet with legislators and discuss pressing regional workforce issues.
Representing both NORTHFORCE and also serving as Vice President of the Arrowhead Manufacturers and Fabricators Association (AMFA), Ian Vincent was vocal about the need to support STEM education and training across northeast Minnesota.
“Attendance seemed up, especially with the high number of legislators,” said Ian. “NORTHFORCE had a lot of great conversations about the importance of supporting STEM education in schools across northeast Minnesota.”
