Based in Superior, WI, Family Forum, Inc. is the grantee for the Head Start and Early Head Start programs in five counties in NW WI: Douglas, Ashland, Bayfield, Iron, and Price. Family Forum, Inc. provides services to children and their families ages 0-5, including prenatal women.
Earlier in 2021, NORTHFORCE connected with Family Forum’s HR Director Natasha Schmid, who was looking to hire a center director for the organization’s largest center that is located in Superior, WI.
“We had a 20-minute conversation about what Family Forum was looking for and a lightbulb went off for me,” shares NORTHFORCE’s Development Consultant Cara Overland. “I immediately thought of a candidate who had just joined our system in the spring and was a perfect match for the role.”
Soon after, Family Forum hired NORTHFORCE candidate Katie Diaz for the center director role.
“Cara was so helpful and provided a sense of relief during a time where employee recruitment is challenging,” said Natasha. “Our partnership enabled us to continue to provide quality services to the children and families in our communities we serve.”
