As the economy improves, retention of talented employees is the number one challenge facing employers this year, according to Forbes.
“An over emphasis on talent attraction and hiring without equal emphasis on development and retention will create problems for companies in the new year,” predicts Forbes contributor and co-founder of HR Open Source Lars Schmidt.
“As the economy continues to strengthen and job fluidity continues to shrink tenure, retention will become an increasingly important factor in determining which companies thrive and which struggle to maintain sufficient talent levels,” Schmidt specifies.
