Supporting Northland employers and candidates
Northspan & NORTHFORCE Program Operations Specialist Laura Nilsen has been the data expert behind northforce.org since she joined the NORTHFORCE Team in August 2019.
Her role with NORTHFORCE is now expanding: In addition to overseeing day-to-day management of the site, she will also be the first point of contact for candidates and employers in Minnesota’s Carlton and southern St. Louis counties, and the three NORTHFORCE counties in Wisconsin: Ashland, Bayfield, and Douglas.
Together with NORTHFORCE’s Greater Northeast Minnesota Strategy & Development Consultant Desiree Yourczek, Laura also assists employers and candidates within Minnesota’s Lake and Cook counties.
“I am very excited to be a bigger part of NORTHFORCE and work to make a difference in our communities,” shares Laura.
Laura is the person who vets every new registered employer, ensuring they meet NORTHFORCE‘s Talent Community criteria. She also reviews every job post that makes it into NORTHFORCE‘s curated listing of career openings. As candidates register on NORTHFORCE, Laura reaches out to welcome registrants and offer tips on how to optimize their profiles for job matches.
