Three questions with Katie Moen, a member of the Mentor Connection Class of 2019 who graduated straight into a position with Heirloom Property Management of Duluth.
Question 1: What’s the scoop and how is the gig going so far?
I’m currently working at Heirloom Property Management as an Administrative Assistant. I started the position in February of this year. So far, I’m really happy working at Heirloom. I enjoy the atmosphere and the constant opportunity to learn more about the property management industry.
Question 2: How did NORTHFORCE help in the hiring process?
I met my current boss through Mentor Connection. I stated on my Mentor Connection application that I was interested in real estate, and the program paired me with an employee from Heirloom. If I hadn’t chosen to participate in Mentor Connection I wouldn’t have had access to this great opportunity.
Question 3: How has this job helped you stay #NorthByChoice?
I’ve always planned to stay in this area after I finished schooling. Getting this position has helped me in making connections in this area that I wouldn’t have been able to make on my own.
